What it shows: - Stomach, liver, spleen, and intestines - Diaphragm, the muscle that separates the chest and belly - Kidneys, ureters, and bladder When it's used - To help diagnose unexplained pain, nausea, or vomiting - To identify suspected problems in the urinary system, such as a kidney stone - To identify blockage in the intestine - To locate an object that has been swallowed
