A skeletal survey is a series of X-rays that image the entire skeleton or specific parts of the skeleton. It's also known as a bone survey. Purpose - To examine bones for damage, such as fractures, bone tumors, or bone loss - To diagnose conditions like multiple myeloma, osteoporosis, or osteopenia - To see how far cancer has spread - To identify developmental abnormalities in children
