Program Overview

The Essential Pediatric Health Assessment is a structured preventive program designed to evaluate a child’s general health, growth, and early indicators of potential medical conditions.

Children often do not show obvious symptoms even when certain health imbalances begin to develop. This assessment provides parents with a clear picture of their child’s health through a combination of medical consultation, laboratory testing, and imaging studies.

The program focuses on early identification of common pediatric concerns such as nutritional deficiencies, metabolic imbalances, inflammatory conditions, and possible abnormalities in major organs.

This preventive approach allows physicians to detect potential issues early and provide recommendations to support healthy growth and development.

Program Includes

Medical Consultation

  • Comprehensive evaluation by a physician
  • Review of medical history and current health concerns
  • Interpretation of diagnostic results
  • Personalized medical recommendations

Imaging Studies

  • Chest X-ray – evaluation of lungs and thoracic structures
  • Abdominal ultrasound – assessment of liver, gallbladder, pancreas, spleen, kidneys, and abdominal organs

Laboratory Evaluation

  • Complete Blood Count with Reticulocytes – evaluation of red and white blood cells, immune response, and possible anemia
  • 24-Element Blood Chemistry Panel – assessment of metabolic function, electrolytes, liver and kidney health
  • Vitamin D Level – screening for vitamin deficiency important for bone development, immune function, and growth

Purpose of the Program

This assessment helps provide an overview of a child’s health by evaluating:

  • Blood health and immune function
  • Metabolic and organ function
  • Nutritional status
  • Lung and abdominal organ health

The results help physicians identify early signs of health imbalances and guide parents on appropriate preventive care, lifestyle recommendations, or further evaluation if necessary.

Important Note

This program is intended for preventive health evaluation and does not replace regular pediatric care or treatment for acute medical conditions. Additional tests or specialist consultations may be recommended based on the physician’s clinical judgment.

Additional Diagnostic Tests (If Clinically Indicated)

Based on the physician’s clinical evaluation, medical history, and initial screening results, additional laboratory tests may be recommended to provide a more detailed assessment of the child’s health status.

Possible additional evaluations may include:

  • Ferritin – assessment of iron stores and early detection of iron deficiency
  • Serum Iron – evaluation of iron metabolism
  • C-Reactive Protein (CRP) – marker of inflammation or infection
  • TSH (Thyroid Stimulating Hormone) – screening of thyroid function related to growth, metabolism, and energy levels
  • Urinalysis – evaluation of kidney and urinary tract health
  • Total IgE (Allergy Screening) – assessment of allergic predisposition

If clinically indicated, specific allergy panels (food or environmental allergens) or additional nutritional markers may also be recommended.
